PWM Edition
English and German translator
October 2025  – Present
I returned to the PWM Edition after almost two years, this time to a position that is more consistent with my responsibilities. The project I am currently involved in is also related to PBM (Polish Music Library) and the translation of encyclopaedia entries. My tasks include translating the aforementioned texts into English and news from the website into German.
Specialist – foreign language content editor
August 2022 – December 2023
While working at the PWM, besides participating in the project of digitalization of "PWM Encyclopedia of Music" and working with musical texts, I also had the pleasure of translating general texts and biographical texts about musicians, singers, painters and other artists.

I would like to add that when translating or proofreading notes, descriptions of sheet music collections, descriptions of the works and lives of many artists and creators, articles on and about music, musical knowledge, which I acquired during my six-year education at the First Degree State Music School, has proven to be invaluable. Owing to this opportunity, which required enhancing my knowledge in musical terminology in another two languages, I was able to undertake the creation of my Master's thesis entitled "Trilingual Glossary of Musical Terms," one of the main obvious objectives of which was to create a trilingual musical glossary. In the "About me" section, you can find more information about the the thesis.

I ended my employment in PWM due to the need to devote myself entirely to writing my Master's thesis and preparing for my defence and exams. Nevertheless, I have fond memories of working for the publishing house and we still have a friendly relationship. I sometimes do minor commissions for them.

Digitalization process of resources of the PWM Edition (II and III)

Project description
PWM Edition finalised the second project co-financed by European Funds, "Digitalization process of resources of the PWM Edition – continuation."

The main objective of the project was the systemic development of the digitisation process, improvement of the quality of digitally accessible resources, and an increase in the online availability of musical cultural heritage for an effective use of its potential for promotion in Poland and other countries.

Contribution to the project
My involvement in the first project I took part in (from August 2022 to January 2024) was directly related to my role at the PWM Edition. Currently (from October 2025 – ?), as I mentioned above, my role is the same as before.

In the Digitisation II project, I initially worked on proofreading texts into German, then on translation, also into German, and later into English. As part of the Digitisation II project, I translated over 200 entries into English (ranging in length from 170 to as many as 15,000 words). In addition, I proofread around 1,000 descriptions and 4,500 notes in German, and translated over 30 articles and sections of the Polish Music Library (PBM) website.

Meanwhile, as part of the current project, the number of texts I have translated already exceeds 400 (and is still rising).
